ALTERNATORS AND STARTERS

The charging system consists of many components. The alternator for one generates electricity while the voltage regulator controls the alternator's output and the battery which stores the amps. The charging system's main function is to keep the battery fully charged and to supply voltage to meet the vehicle's electrical needs for example the starter. A weak battery can prematurely wear out electrical components like your alternator , Have your electrical system checked regularly.

  • Visual Inspection of electrical components
  • Check and clean battery cables and terminals
  • Check battery for prober voltage
  • Check drive belt and tensioners
  • Perform starter draw test
  • Perform alternator output test
